Do I need a descaler if I am using Calgon tablets in my washing machine? 
Solution 
Scaling varies depending on a number of factors, such as water hardness, how you use the washing machine and what type of detergent you use. However, if you live in a  hard water area, it is advisable to use a descaler, even if you are using Calgon.  

How do I clean my washing machine's detergent dispenser? 
Solution 
Remove the dispenser from the washing machine according to the instructions in the Use & Care Guide. Place the dispenser under warm, running water and lightly wipe away any remaining detergent residue. Reinsert the dispenser according to the instructions in the Use & Care Guide.

How do I clean my washing machine's door gasket? 
Solution 
After finishing a load, leave the door partially open to air the interior of the machine. This will help dry out any remaining moisture in the drum or on the gasket. Wipe the gasket with a soft cloth to remove residual water or detergent. Any leftover detergent on the gasket means that you are using too much detergent.

Solution 
Use a mild, non-abrasive, chlorine-free cleaning agent. Rinse and then dry with a soft cloth. Do not use steel wool or any other abrasive cleaning agents.

Use hot, soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent with a soft cloth. Rinse and then dry with a soft cloth. 

How do I clean my washing machine's water inlet filter? 
Solution 
This is necessary if very little or no water flows into the washing machine. In hard water areas, cleaning is recommended every 6 months to reduce valve blockages. Follow these directions for both hot and cold water faucets:

1. Disconnect the hose from the water faucet.
2. Rinse the filter under running water.
3. Reconnect the hose and filter.

1. Pour descaler (without laundry) into the washing machine drum.
2. Run the 140°F (60°C) colored laundry program without pre-wash.
3. Rerun the program for thorough cleaning.

How often should I descale my washing machine? 
Solution 
The frequency depends on the usage of the appliance and the hardness of the local water. Be sure to use a descaler if you live in a hard water area. Our tested and approved descaler gives great results and fully removes limescale if used every 3-6 months. To avoid limescale and odors, regularly give your washing machine a maintenance wash of 194°F (90°C).
